free 1 month trial

There's your problem.  You will only get the one month free if you create an account on your 360 console, NOT on the website.

Not on an existing account. You'd have to create a new account.

You will have to create a new account on the Xbox.

When creating it, make sure you choose Free member, and confirm the choice, as it will then ask you if you want to try out the Gold membership for a month, and then just accept it.

i want the one month but its not working!!!1 its not poping up

ikr i have had my x-box for a while now and im just now getting live and i cant get the one month trial... :/ i only get the free xbox live thingy...

each console gets 3 free 30 days of gold trial on new consoles if you do not get them they may have been used up is your console new or used?

The older style consoles come with three trials. The new slims only come with one. If its not popping up, its already been used. It is possible someone got the console and returned it, even if you think you got it new.
