Firefox 5 and forum login problem

Afternoon everyone  , 3 days ago I updated F/fox to V5  since then I have had problems with logging into the forum mostly it just fails but sometimes it will get to the forum page but when I try to sign in I get a message which is new to me as follows ''HTTP Error 400 The size of the request headers is too long ''    is anyone else having the same problem?

At the moment I have gone back to using Chrome and there isn't any problem at all.

Will clearing the cookies help?

Most of the time it will. Try it, it's not hard to do.

I use IE9, I don't have any major problems, just the random signing out and can't sign back in, unless I delete my cookies.

I was having similar (though not exactly the same) problems with FF and clearing my cookies for the site sorted it.

Unfortunately it seems you have to clear cookies on a regular basis - Ive had to do it 3or 4 times in the last 2 days

I even tried setting up exceptions to only keep session cookies for forums.xbox.com, but still no joy, so Ive just been manually deleting he forums.xbox.com cookie folder (within Firefox 4 options).

Together with all the site "updates", its like MS are actively trying to discourage people from coming here...

See, I'm having no problems with FF5 but I guess that's more to do with the fact I have it set to delete Cookies, Cache etc. on closure.

Did have the "you have found a glitch in the system" message yesterday when trying to check my messages but that's an MS problem not FF.
