cant get on live , new update not working..error 66.

hi ive read thru the forums and im getting the same problem as some people , error 66.

its asking me to install new update then once it has ran thru downloading and installing said update im getting a single red light and error 66 black screen.

my xbox has not been modded or opened ever, once i restart it wont let me connect to live and asks to install the update again bringing the same result.

ive tryed all the delete cache stuff and checked power lines stc but it is down to this update, what ios going on?

my xbox is working perfectly well apart from i cannot connect to live becoz of this update.

Do you get this same error when the HDD is removed?

i cant do anything with hdd removed as it says no profiles found with it removed, then asks me to recover profile then says i need a storage device.

its not even trying to do teh update anymore , its just saying cannot connect to xbox live...wtf people??

try backing up ur save to a USB drive or memory card and formatting the hard drive.

why?... its the update thats fuxed things.my hard drive is fine..what do you mean backing up my save?...dont have a usb drive or memory card.

ive just spent an hour on the phone with them and my console has never been opened, never one been touched /repaired but they have still told me im a liar and error 66 means it has been opened...their response to their own **** update ....go buy a new console.
