TI 1520 card reader works fine with 256 MB PCMCIA cards. I can boot with the card in reader and the drive shows up in My computer correctly as a removable disk. Running XP Pro with Service Pack 3. Device Manager shows two "Texas Instruments PCI-1520 CardBus Controller" entries.
But there is a problem with 2 GB PCMCIA cards. On a cold reboot, there is a MTD-0002 error and the card is not recognized. Device Manager shows "PCMCIA MTD-0002". Device Manager also shows the two "Texas Instruments PCI-1520 CardBus Controller" entries. Ejecting the card makes the "PCMCIA MTD-0002" disappear from Device Manager and reinserting allows the card to be properly recognized as a removable disk. After doing a warm restart, the card is still properly recognized as a remoovable disk. A cold reboot is thee only time when the problem occurs. This is on a remote PC so ejecting and reinserting the card on a cold reboot is not practical.
