The procedure entry point ucrtbase.terminate could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll

Running Windows 7 home premium

Hi I get this error when I try to add or remove any windows features. Before I even attempt to change anything I get this error as soon as I try to get to the point of adding or removing windows features. I just reinstalled windows so perhaps it's to do with that?

ERROR

The procedure entry point ucrtbase.terminate could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll

If anyone knows what it means or what I should do to get rid of the error any help would be gratefully  accepted.

Hi, I have now found out what the problem was. It wasn't office exactly. Rather having just reinstalled windows 7, windows update was not functioning properly. Hardly any updates had been installed. I had to run the 'windows update diagnostic' program from Microsoft support. Once that had fixed the update  problem about 180 updates were installed. Once they were installed the problem with the error mesage was solved. I don't know which update fixed it but one of them did.
