Windows 7 print spooler error 1053

Have read many answers to this type of query and none of the suggestions work. I have an HP Photosmart plus B210 printer that won't now print. It works fine from a laptop connected via cable but not from the desktop. I have tried to uninstall the printer but that fails with error 2081883393 failed to uninstall.

Getting very frustrate with this problem so any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there,

Thanks for your prompt reply.Method one was no good. Method two was interesting in as much the system said it failed to uninstal the software I identified but when I checked, the printer had been deleted.  I have now installed the drivers again so will wait for a day or two to see if the print spooler problem shows again. keep your fingers crossed.

Decided to restart the computer and once again under devices and printers the printer shows error. I followed all instructions and System file checker showed "no integrity violations"

What now?

OK still no joy. Print spooler was already stopped and wouldn't restart. I got the error 1053. There were no files in the printer folder. No updates and HP driver was up to date. I decided to do a restart and the printer was OK so it looks like an intermittent fault. Have tried all suggestions so what next?

Major problem at the moment. No matter what I try, I can't get print spooler to start so I can't do any printing. Really do need some help.

Disappointed not to have had some response. However I have managed to get the printer running again if only for a day before it stops again. What I have been able to do is - Control Panel, Programs, Turn Windows features on or off, Print document services. Under this heading are 4 boxes. Internet Printing client, LPD Print Service, LPR Port Monitor and Windows fax and scan. I find that the middle two should always be ticked whereas by ticking and unticking the Internet Printing client box and restarting, the computer will on accasions get the printer to work.

Another thing I've looked at is dependencies: I got this info from running Services.msc under Print spooler. The thing is that I couldn't restart the print spooler because I got the error 1053. When I looked at DCOM Server process launcher I couldn't start or stop the device.

Would now appreciate your thoughts please.

Have already tried these but tried again.  Regedit worked but when I tried to start Print Spooler I had the same problem as before. Error 1053. Tried troubleshooter and all it said was Print Spooler isn't running Then Not Fixed.

So here I am again back to square one. Would really appreciate some more assistance in getting this resolved.
