Cant find scanned file in Windows 10

Hi

I scanned a document using an HP Envy 5530 scanner to my computer which uses Windows 10.

The scanner says the scan was fine and "see your computer monitor" for the document.  But nothing pops up like it did on Windows 7 and when I go to scanned documents there is nothing there.

Where did my scanned document go?

Any help appreciated.

When I hit Windows Key+R and type in devmgmt.msc the box comes up but there is no choice of Printer and Scanner.

I am not sure what to do?

The printer and scanner is all in one and I have been printing just fine.  So I know the printer is working with Windows 10.

Thanks again for any more help.

I wish Microsoft would stop making the windows interface more "user friendly", because I'm becoming more and more unfriendly as I use 10!!!  Where in the heck are my scanned files???? User Vicious is more like it.

Windows 10 - When I usually scan document(s) as soon as it is finished it will pop up flashing in the task bar waiting for me to view and also rename it if I wish.

I did every step that you suggested and our HP Officejet 8040 is stating "The best driver software for your device is already installed" so where is my scanned document?

I also did a search using the magnifying glass icon located at the bottom left of the task bar and typed in scanned documents today and it still did not show up.

Please advise...

Brian

I followed the steps, installed the new driver and went to step 2. The printer driver link is not to my printer but to a different one. I have an Hp Office jet 3830. The link is to a totally different printer.

Any ideas?

This did not help my problem.  I have an HP Envy 5660 ALL IN ONE printer/scanner and cannot find my files.  HP says my driver is uptodate.
