I purchased a number of Microsoft points awhile back specifically for the purpose of renting movies through the Zune Marketplace. I have rented and watched a number of movies this way, and so far have been happy. That is until things changed over to Xbox Music/Video and I can no longer purchase anything off the Zune Marketplace because it states my location and my Live ID don't match. Hence, I got and try to login from Xbox Music/Video and to my surprise the option to 'Rent' is no longer available, only 'Buy'. I'm assuming this is because you guys have decided not to do streaming in Canada anymore?
Funny how I've been able to buy and watch movies from Microsoft for the last few years, and now I guess my business is no longer appreciated. Get with the times Microsoft and stop treating Canadian customers with contempt. iTunes, Netflix, Blackberry World, all of these are available options. How long will any of your platforms last here in Canada if you continually lock out your customer base? I say this sincerely. I have been in IT for the last decade or so, and sadly your track record here in Canada has gained you no loyalty.
Awaiting a response as to why this. I find it absolutely silly that Microsoft has chosen ignore a market of 30 million people. In fact, due to lack of competition here it would be even more advantageous to do so. Shaking head.
