Xbox Live is rejecting my PayPal account, please help :(

Hi there,

I'm used to buy content in Xbox Live using PayPal, always. But I've noticed a problem in the past weeks, the message is "Your payment instrument could not be authorized. Please contact your provider, or try a different payment option.". Yes, my PayPal acc is verified.

I already tried delete and reinsert my PayPal account, but that doesn't work. It's funny because I've also noticed that my last four card numbers change every time I try to add my PayPal acc. Strange, it isn't supposed to be only my four numbers? 

For example, if I try to add five times the same PayPal account (I have only 1 internacional credit card registered), Xbox Live will show me five diferent PayPayl accounts, with the same name, same e-mail but different card numbers. None of them work. This is driving me crazy. :(

I've already look in all places but didn't find any problem like mine. 

Any suggestions?

your paypal along with your creditcard billing address must match the region of your xbox account

 

international creditcards wont work unless the correct regional billing address matches

 basically you cannot use a russian creditcard with a us paypal account and expect a US account

this is why you dont use international creditcards

Account Information

Please ensure that the account information on both your LIVE account and PayPal account is current and that it matches. For instance, if your PayPal account is under "John Smith" but your Xbox LIVE account is registered to "Master Chief", you may have issues linking the two accounts. This also goes for contact information, billing address, etc.

Go to the settings on the dashboard, click on account, move two to the right, click on billing info. Make SURE it al matches your paypal account information. Any difference between the xbox account and paypal will cause this error.
