The end. How to continue? (possible spoilers)

Nope, you can't continue after you've beaten the game regardless of which faction you side with.  There also won't be an DLC that extends it.

New Vegas can change drastically depending on what ending you choose and to program that all and make it work for every game and add new content would be impossible.   So all DLC we take place before the ending.

They managed to keep the Zion area accessible after Honest Hearts even though you made some important decisions affecting that area. I realize that they said no DLC would open up FNV but its always nice to hope. I think a lot of fans would love to roam the FNV wastes. I played through the story twice so far. Once on normal and once on hardcore. I have a save file that I keep going back to just to wander around.

I am really hoping for a broken steel dlc for this game, allowing you to play after completing the game

I thought the DLC where they introduce ulysses (sp) would continue the story?

1. Buy the PC version
2. Enable player controls during the ending slideshow
3. Have a nice chat with Ron the Narrator (sort of) and then leave the slideshow room by means of a console command

And that's the only way to play past the ending in New Vegas. Obsidian has said many times (a number that is still considerably less than the amount of RPGs with definite endings) that there will never be a Broken Steel-esque DLC that will allow you to play past the ending.  Sigh...no one appreciates player-determined slideshows nowadays

it tells u before u start the final quest that u should make sure everything else u wanted to do is done first. so theres really no need to keep playing like in fable.  only reason i even played past the ending there was to do the tedious collection quests.  When you finish the game, you finish the game, just like in Fallout 3, KOTOR, etc.

Well it is a shame that we'll never get to see the aftermath of the decisions we made in real time, but hey it's a good job this is one hell of a game! Otherwise i wouldn't be playing through for the third time now.  I think i'll give the Siera Madre a miss this time tho. To much bleeping for my liking.....
