Halo Reach 2 Player Local Aspect Ratio problem.

Hello,

I just got my second controller today, and was playing Halo Reach Custom Game Mode with another person locally. It went into split screen, but the view doesn't stretch all the way. Both views are squished on top of each other in a pillar box format. Instead of this, I want both the spit screens to span across my TV in HD. The TV is a Panasonic Plasma-50." I tried pressing the "Aspect Ratio" button, but the game won't let me change the in game resolution. While playing alone for campaign, firefight, and matchmaking, it is perfectly fine. It covers the whole screen in HD. However, in teo player, I just get a small box. Please tell me how to fix this. There are no real video options in the Halo Reach game itself, so let me know if I have to fix this from somewhere else...
