Question about the Xbox 360 power supply (aka the brick)

Hi All,

I have an Xbox 360 Elite from America, the power supply burnt out because I connected it to a European power source without using a step down AC converter.

Now I have the console without the brick.

So What know is, can I purchase a new brick that is suited for an Xbox Elite in my current location (South Africa) and use it with my American Xbox Elite Console or must I buy another American Xbox elite brick and use it with a step down power converter?
