I'm not sure why but Comcast decided to get greedy and do away with unlimited internet in your home. We are all now limited to only 300GB usage per month or you will be charged $10 for each 50GB after that.
I didn't think XBL and online MMOs used that much data but when GTA Online came out I was playing it non stop for a few weeks. And now CoD Ghosts is out and I'm playing it on XBL a lot too but not near as much as I was with GTA Online.
Anyways, Comcast is telling me that I used 400GB last month! Which was when GTA Online came out. And they are saying I've already used over 240GB this month and we are only 18 days into the cycle.
I just don't understand how I'm using so much data when all I do is XBL and or MMOs.
I'm RARELY on YouTube and if I am on YT I only watch a quick clip or 2 each month. I don't download movies or anything. I just browse the internet. Nothing with lots of photos or videos on it.
So my only guess is XBL and MMO PC games are using TONS of data or Comcast is really cheating me and lieing about it. Which wouldn't surprise me.
This really has me bummed out as I work from home also. But like I said I'm not doing anything crazy that uses all this data so I dont know where its coming from. Only thing I can think of is XBL.
