Error Code after update today

Have you tried updating with the HDD and all other memory devices, and then updating again?

If that doesn't do the trick, please give one of these other options a try.

C000-000E indicates the DVD drive is not responding. Have you modified or removed the DVD drive, or have you paid an unauthorized repair center to replace your DVD drive?

I disconnected my DVD drive because it would not eject properly, I looked into it and the motor is just simply dead. I'm going to buy a new xbox but keep the Hard drive on it. I plugged it back in and I'm still getting the error message, I've even restarted the xbox. Maybe I can just get it all sorted out after I get it.

odd you say modded like every one is a hacker and is a thief and i think its awful im thinking im going to call xbox on this one and simply your xbox they arent going to let it in you have opened it you will just have to buy a new one sorry dude im dealing with sort of the same thing i had a light on drive ( the worst pos in the world) and it finally gave out went to a place here because they wanted to charge me 200 and yes "odd" thats what the xbox live consultant told me, and i took it some where else for a 50 dollar fix and the new update was to look those people out.

i hate what they did yes im MAD yes but the new update was to configure drives to take the new disc type that will be rolling out it has 1gb more storage space then the 1's out now and yes it had A Antipiracy Feature which detectes altered Xbox"s i say Altered is a better word because not all where Mods Rather just fix's but if your xbox was  changed in anyway from its factory state it was detected (unless done so by Microsoft and in some cases even when they did it).....as i side note i think the Xbox Labs program was a set up fpr this also so if you use that and it found any alteration you were flagged for a code(meaning a update you wouldent be able to DL) first this part being only opinion

I have the same problem man..

i had an error code for this new update tried updating a few times and got the same error code , but ive got it working now .. heres what i done .... go to system settings/ memory/ device options(yellow button)/ then clear the system cache... then it updated with no problems when i done that. hope this helps

What is error code C000-0001?
