All my save games are gone

Hi there! Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your save game.

Does anyone else have access to your console? Reason I ask this is it may have accidently been deleted. There have been reports of game saves getting corrupted too however which may unfortunately be what has happened to yours.

If you you have other accounts present on your xbox that would have had a save game it might be worth checking to see if their save games are still intact, Otherwise you might want to take the issue to the developers for support ( forzamotorsport.net/.../support.aspx )

Save games are a tricky issue, so I hope I've helped to some degree. I've started using the Cloud feature to backup as I've had similar issues before.

Hey, thank you for your answer. I am the only one who's using the Xbox, my girlfriend never uses it. I haven't posted it on the Forza forums because all my save games from all my games I've played are gone. So it probably is an issue with my Xbox or the hard disk.

Hmmm, that's quite strange. I know that there have been issues related to the xbox system date/time resetting save games. You have been offline for sometime as you said, is the date and time of your console (to the year) correct?

Forgive the question but are you sure the drive is an 80gb one?

The hard drives only come in 20, 60, 120, 250 and finally 320gb in size. So if you do have a 80gb model then it is a third party unofficial one and that is likely the reason your saves have vanished.

Also worth mentioning is that Microsoft consider using a hard drive from a FAT console in the Slim 360 to be system tampering. Also they don't always fit as they should, so if the connections are correct then that could also explain the vanishing saves.

In my view I know losing your saved history is quite bad countless hour's of playing saving up achievements just to be vanshined. However on the brighter side you could play all those game's again to gain back gamerscore and you'll have more hour's of fun (if your ever bored just sitting playing online)

I have lost a save before but there is nothing that can be done to get them back. I suppose it means that you can start your games from a fresh and enjoy playing them again :)

I suggest using ur cloud storage :-)

Hey Roywilliam! It sounds like this might be due to the fact that you possibly have a 3rd party harddrive device as voteDC has mentioned. I would suggest trying to delete and re-download your profile before taking any other steps. Check out that guide, give it a shot and let us know the results :)

No sorry, it's a 120gb from Microsoft, my mistake. I have nothing 3rd party.

First things first, are you using your same storage device as you have been when you play Xbox 2 months ago?

Make sure your clicking on the correct one. Also double check if you were using an old account since games save by account and not console.
