ERROR 1406.COULD NOT WRITE VALUE INSTALL PATH TO KEY\SOFTWARE..

Hi my work just did a whole software update. I am getting an error when I try to get everything configured after the new download. I work at home and this is a requirment before I can start using new software.

it says

error 1406. could not write value install path to key software\vmware,inc.\vmware converter hosted.verify

can someone help me understand this and get it to work please. I tried the support tab and it would not go past the product ID entry even though I have the product id I even tried the charge me method and it would not load. I installed active x but its not opening, but that's not my issue I only request help with this "install path to key" issue thanks :) jen

Hello TylerSummermommy,

If you still get the same error, you might want to post in the VMware community discussions. The error you are getting is for VMware.
