Windows 10 setup now REQUIRES an email address/microsoft account?

So what happened to the option to setup as a local account?  If i click "learn more" it even says now that you can go in afterwards and remove the account in settings, but i dont want to have to setup a brand new account in the first place!!!

Give me back the option to setup a local account.--not every computer is going to be used by a person, or by someone that needs an account.

Hi Mati

Are you installing Windows 10, and if so, are you booting form installation media created with the Media Creation Tool?

If so, if you disconnect form the Internet, during the installation, does it still force you to provide an Email Address?

It has been a couple of months now, since I installed a Windows 10 system, however, I was always able to skip entering an Email address and just create a local account, possibly because I was never connected to the Internet during the installation

If you are being forced to provide an Email Address, possibly installing an earlier version of Windows, create a local account and then update to the latest version may be the way to go . . .
