Alright, so many people have been having issues with this and I'm ridiculously tired of it myself. I don't need someone to walk me through the baby steps of "Oh, make sure your drivers are up to date and your USB ports are cleaned" because I'm not stupid and have been trying to fix this for a long time and it's high time Microsoft stepped up and fixed it. So what's the solution? My issue is this:
Latency, latency everywhere. Anything related to audio has severe distortion, pops and lag spikes which also affects video in-game, believe it or not. Now, as I said, LatencyMon was kind enough to point out USBPORT.sys as being the intruding thorn and have actually narrowed down / part fixed the issue.
Intel(R) 8 Series USB Enhanced Host Controller #1 9C26 has been the issue that runs the port driver. Now, I have "uninstalled it" and can still use ports just fine, obviously and it works great. No more audio ****, BUT on restart, hey what do you know! The host controller is back. So how do I make it so when I uninstall it, it actually uninstalls? I've browsed the internet, licked my computer and performed VooDoo, but couldn't find anything / be guided. If someone else wants to fix the issue to begin with, that'd be wonderful as well. Thanks in advance and sorry if I sound angry, because I am.
