How to Disable Hyperlink Warnings For Office 2016 programs when hyperlink is to a pdf?

I currently have an excel sheet that has a list of hyperlinks in it.  Each hyperlink connects to a url which is a file.

I was able to suppress the

"Some files can contain viruses or otherwise be harmful to your computer.

It is important to be certain that this file is from a trustworthy source.

Would you like to open the file?"

message by editing the registry like so:

However, I still get the warning message when the hyperlink is to a pdf file.

How do I also suppress this warning message for these pdf urls?

Answer

Hi Corey,

Based on my search and test, we cannot directly disable this waring for PDF files. It’s different from those Office documents or tif files. Change settings in registry editor, IE Options or Office application Options don’t work for pdf files.

Thanks for your understanding.
