上記 質問題名の類似質問を先に見つけました。(2010.8.19付け) 前提条件および症状も全く同一です。 ただ、最終的な解決方法が見つかりません。
米国のフォーラムでも同様の症状の記述がありますが失敗の要因が異なるようです。私の場合はWindowsUpdate.logに下記のワーニングが吐かれています。（全文が必要であれば別途メール致しますので指示してください)
今回のプログラム適用前にWindows Updateでは、最新の重要パッチは適用済みとなっています。また、X64プログラムのインストールは今回が初めてで、これまではX86プログラムのみを使ってきました。
ウイルスバスター２０１０が入っていますが今回のインストール時に、監視OFF、動作OFFなど試してみましたがインストール失敗の状況に変化はありませんでした。
対処方法をお教えください。
