Surfacebook 2 - Transient Image Persistence (Burn in/Ghosting)

I've noticed that my display on my Surfacebook 2 has a transient image persistence issue, where I left the screen displaying some static content display for about 15 minutes while I went to the loo. When I came back, I switched desktops to do some work and as a result the screen was much darker (terminal app) and I noticed an after image of the browser I previously had open.

I found this article with the most naive response I have ever seen... Taking a screenshot is not going to capture pixel retention.

Anyways, is anyone else noticing this problem? Has Microsoft already been made aware of this and doing anything to remedy it?

I have the same issue - of course it's technically correct that it's not burn-in but transient image persistence. Still, quite bad thing to have on my brand new 3000€+ laptop. So, to the OP:s question, is Microsoft already aware and have fixed this? Can I trade in my laptop for a replacement unit?

I personally have not seen other complaints besides this thread and I have not
seen any indication that they are aware. All I can suggest is if you are in the
US, you should go to the closest physical retail Microsoft Store
contact support

Ok, I live in Sweden but will check with my store.

An additional thread regarding this issue (surprisingly and not very helpfully suggesting it is software related due to the fact that it is most visible on dark screens):
