xbox scratches discs

hey so I have an older xbob probably like 2 years but lately I have been noticing it is scratching my discs. On the furthest inside ring on the back of the disc there are small cuts that go from the start of the ring to the beggining of the next ring. My black ops disc had this start happening to it recently and I couldnt figure out what was happening and then it happened to my battlefield bad co 2 disc tonight both are playable to a point but they will just sort of randomly stop working and this is consistently happening. My xbox is always horizontal by the way and I havent changed anything about its set up for a year and the problem just started recently. Is there a way to fix this or is my xbox just screwed?

if you are absolutely sure its the console if the console is laying flat and you are puting the disks in right and it stable then i'd send it in for repair

however because you havce a 2 year old xbox its going to cost you at least 100dollars

if you do an online repair

more if you call in
