Stereotypes and Gaming

Do any of you guys feel that certain games attract certain Stereotypes? If so then which ones to which games. 

And how do you feel about sterotypes in gaming?

 

 

For an example say you seem to feel like more emo/scene people play gears of war, or more stoner/punks play Call of Duty, more punks/metal heads play Halo, Jocks preps play madden.

 

That type of thing, just interested in seeing your replies.

People play games that they find fun, it doesn't matter what characteristics they possess. Although, there is the exception of people playing video games, just to fit in.

When I play games it almost never feels like one group of people play more than any other. The only game I can even think of would be the COD series it seems to be played by mostly kids ages 14 and under.

I gotta agree with you there lol. Even when I walk into a game shop I see kids huddling around Call of Duty cases and wanting it. Obviously not old enough to be buying it too lol.
