No worries mate! Like I said I don't know how it all works and don't know how true or not it is but from the people I know that have reported issues, well there not the sort of people that you often get posting 'Rubbish' on forums so it sounds pretty genuine to me!

I'm just glad I removed my bank card details ages ago now, only ever use pre-paid cards etc because despite what some may say I don't think 'Any' company is 100% secure!

I don't even need to click on the link to tell you "no".

But please link me if I'm wrong.

So far everything seems ok my end, the only card thats registered on my profile expires tomorrow anyway so not too worried about that as i wasn't planning on updating it. Cheers for the heads up though Mr Bee.

Like I said mate I really don't know how this all works and how true/false/severe these current reports are but I posted because like my mum and dad always say to me ... " Better Safe Than Sorry"

However unlikely and unreputable the report is, it's not a risk worth taking. All the hacks on PSN, Mastercard and Paypal have taught me that it's stupid to leave your card attached to an online system for more than 30 seconds. Even with Steam I remove my card straight after making a purchase

You're definately right there.

One of the best ways to stay safe from fraud is not to post details you don't have to.

Also if you use the prepaid cards for points and XBox LIVE they can't auto-charge you either.

I was surprised to see Bethesda get hacked so like you say, you never know.

Unfortunately M$ don't see fit to offer a means to remove cards on your account. Well done Microsoft.

If there ever was a breach I wonder if MS could get in trouble for that? Are they taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to ensure people's details are safe and secure if we can't easily remove our cards in event of a hack?

it depends on what you have purchased with your card if it's live and zune then you have to call them up but if it's just points you can go to manage account on here and remove it (i know you can do this as i did it)
