Gamerscore reset not gaining new achievements and other issues

Part of the punishment for gamerscore hacking is that any achievements that you had prior to the reset are locked and cannot be earned again post reset. You'll occasionally see them pop but they won't actually unlock.

If you are seeing corrupt files on your hdd then I would recommend you go to the MEMORY TAB via SYSTEM SETTINGS. Then scroll to the game save and be sure there is no yellow ! next to it. If there is it is corrupt and you will need to delete it. That of course would also mean you would need to start that game save all over again.

Check your profile to see if it is showing as corrupt before you actually delete any game saves though. If the profile is corrupt, delete it (PROFILE ONLY) then go back to the MEMORY TAB and press 'Y' to CLEAR CACHE. Now restart the console and proceed with the profile recovery. Once that is complete you should load up a game and see if the saves are recognized and not showing as corrupt. If not then you are good to go. If they are then you will need to delete the corrupt save and start fresh.

BTW, you can be annoyed about the GAMER SCORE RESET all you want, but you should consider yourself lucky all you got was reset as ALL other modding offenses end with the account and/or console permanently banned from XBL. Would you rather have that? If it was up to the majority of the XBL Community you would have suffered that very fate. Good thing it isn't up to us.

You will not be able to get achievements on your previously played games as it is a punishment. You will need to buy other games to unlock achievements. You will be better of using a new account.
