windows xp blue screen 'bugcode-usb-driver' error

Hello there,

I am using windows xp on my pc desktop. Often my session crashes and I have a blue screen error saying 'bugcode_usb_driver'
Below on that blue screen error page under the heading of Technical Information, it reads:
STOP: 0*000000FE (0*00000005, 0*896D90E0, 0*808624DD, 0*89730B00).
I hope you provide me with a quick resolution to the problem.

thanks

Hi Farasat,

1.       When exactly are you getting a blue screen error?

2.       Does this issue occur in Safe mode?

3.       Were there any recent changes made to the computer prior to the issue?

I would suggest you to follow the steps provided and later update us on the status of the issue.

Method 1: Check if the issue is caused by some of the hardware malfunctioning on your computer. I suggest that you disconnect all the External devices connected to your computer, except the mouse and keyboard and check if the same issue occurs.

Method 2: After the Windows Logo displays or after you log on to Windows, a Windows XP-based computer may only display the wallpaper, a black screen, or a blue screen: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318027

(Try all the steps except “Repair Windows XP”)

For any Windows related issues please feel free to contact us and we will be glad to help.

Thanks Vinod for your reply,

I get the error anytime while using my computer. at first I thought the blue screen error appeared when there was some load on my graphic card or ram, like when I am running multiple programs or watching videos on youtube etc. But that's not the case, even if my computer is sitting idle for half an hour or longer, I still get this blue screen error.

I did not try the safe mode, because I never know when will I get the error, sometimes after just 10 minutes of windows session I get the error, sometimes I get it after 2 or 3 hours, so its really unpredictable when would I get the error.

I had been receiving this error for a few months now, so cannot say exactly that what changes in my hardware invited this error.

I disconnected all the USB devices from my computer & uninstalled all the drivers of USB & restarted my computer, what it actually did that now I receive a different blue screen error which reads "Memory_Management" and the technical information is ;

STOP: 0*0000001A (0*00041284, 0*37FE7001, 0*00002EB8, 0*C0503000)
