All files and folders show hidden after virus corrupted hard drive in XP

I recently recieved a virus on my laptop that made every file and folder hidden and said that my hard drive was corrupt. I managed to get rid of the virus, but all of my files were still hidden. I went to My Computer and made it so that all of the hidden files were visible. This fixed the problem somewhat. My main problem now is that all of my files and folders are slightly transparent. It's a more of a nuisance than an actual problem. I downloaded a program that would let me change each file back in groups, but this would take an extremely long time to go folder by folder throughout my entire computer. I was wondering if there is any possible way to turn all of my files and folders from hidden to un-hidden to get rid of their transparency.

Thanks for any help you can give.
