I have tried lot of things to install only a KB2756872, but never got success on this. when windows was booting and came to %100 it started reverting changes.
I have tried with removing everything in Sound, video and game controllers, even with deleting display drivers, but no success :(
I dont have any anti-virus software except Windows defender.

I have even tried to repair windows, all i got i got deleted apps from my pc and still cant install any update.

I am using Windows 8 pro 64 bit.

Any suggestions please?

I got it to install finally.

Go to Services

Look for the service named
"This service enables products that use the Nalpeiron Licensing System."

Stop it AND crucially go into its properties and disable it from starting (just stopping it will still fail).

Install the update via Windows update

Once it installs, you can go back to Services and allow Nalpeiron licensing system to start again.

When I tried in services.msc (type that from Start), it appears as exactly "This service enables products that use the Nalpeiron Licensing System." with no description next to the service name.

I just had a look at the Services tab in Task Manager though and there it actually appears as "nlssrv32.exe" so try looking for that.

The best suggestion I could make is disabling any non-Microsoft service and installing, you might want to disconnect from the internet, disable any security services and install from the file directly - it's here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35648

Hey guys

Just to clarify what updates are not currently being installed?

Give the specific KB and also any error codes that you are getting.

Also wanted to ask exactly how you are doing a  Clean Boot. Verify the steps below and try the updates again.

From the desktop:
Press the Windows key +R
In the Run box type msconfig and hit enter
Under the Services tab, place a check in Hide all Microsoft services and hit Disable all
Under the Startup tab click Open Task Manager
Under the Startup tab right-click and disable each Startup item and then close Task Manager
Click Apply/OK on System Configuration screen then restart

Once you have completed the test, be sure to set your computer back to a normal boot.

You can also try running the Windows Update troubleshooter as well.

  • Press the Winkey + C
  • Click Search
  • Type Troubleshooting
  • Click Settings
  • Click Troubleshooting on the left
  • Under System and Security, click Fix problems with Windows Update

 :edit

Also while your doing the steps for a clean boot can you list the other Services that are currently under the Services tab when you check Hide all Microsoft services

From the desktop:
Press the Windows key +R
In the Run box type msconfig and hit enter
Under the Services tab, place a check in Hide all Microsoft services

What Services do you see there?

i had problems with kb2769165 and kb2770917. i followed mark_mywords' instructions and this is what i found on my windows 8 pro:

1. go to task manager > services tab and look for the service named nlsX86cc; the description is "nalpeiron licensing service."

2. stop the service.

3. right click on "nlsX86cc" and select "open services."

4. find "nalpeiron licensing service", right click and disable the service.

5. update through normal windows update.

6. after the update(s) install and windows 8 restarts, go through services and task manager to enable "nalpeiron licensing service" and run "nlsX86cc" again.

hope this helps. i'm tempted to just permanently disable the nalpeiron licensing service and stop nlsX86 and see what happens.

thanks, mark_mywords, for the tip. i don't know how you came to find that nalpeiron licensing service angle, but it worked for me.

:edit

i didn't do the clean boot, but i did do the windows update trouble shooter and that didn't work.

NVIDIA Display Driver Service "NVIDIA Corporation"
