kernel data inpage error windows 8

Hi,
I also have the problem with blue screen + the kernel_data_inpage_error and don't know what to do (sometimes the command 'srv.sys' is added, I got this screen a lot of times since the past 2 days). I already read a few posts about this topic before, but they don't really help me. I tried to scan in the prompt with 'sfc/scannow' command, but after 50% it says that there are damaged files which can't be repaired, then the scan stops.
I also ran 'malwarebytes' over the system but this didn't find anything.
I'm a bit confused because this win8 - acer is not really old and I didn't load much new stuff on it, so it'd be great if someone could help me :)

The minidumps are attached to to link, maybe they'll help anyone.

It is not an Acer product problem only.  I have a Toshiba and I get the damn thing.  Geek squad replaced the hard drive.  I stopped getting the error until a month later.  They stated it could happen again.  I think it is a Windows 8 problem.

Guys I've had this problem for a while and to think that I have paid for my Avast anti-virus and I had to experience this (NO NO NO). I had no idea this was caused by malware. I went to command prompt and tried fixing it from there a couple of times but nothing. For those of you experiencing this issue please follow the steps explained in the link I've pasted it below:

http://malwaretips.com/blogs/webcake-virus-removal/

it's worked very well for me and I've had no issues since. After trying this out if it works for you please let others who are experiencing the same problem know.

I followed your directions step by step and it is still happening, now what?

whoops just noticed in my message i put repairable when should have said unrepairable.  I bought my laptop from sainsburys there technical support basically said it was it was unrepairable to me and had two choices refund or replacement laptop under the guarantee so I got a replacement laptop in the end.

if you've tried refreshing and reformatting it to factory settings and still get the error message then you want to take it back either ask for a replacement or refund if its still under guarantee and if they don't help quote sales of goods act to them luckily had no problem with Sainsbury's replaced my old laptop with a new one

Guys, i'm having the same issue on my HP Pavillion G6 laptop. It worked great after I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 in late 2012, then this issue started about Aug 2013. Just wiped it out (reformatted HD) and reinstalled Windows 8, i'm still getting the error.

well im only going by my experience with it but I had my laptop preinstalled with windows 8 I tried the chkdsk c /f /r typed into the command prompt make sure you right click and run as administrator before entering chkdsk c /f /r didn't work for me but some say it has cleared the error takes around a 1 to 2 hrs to complete also theres webroot download the free trial gives you full access for wiping malware as that can cause the problem also hitman pro has worked for some people that's a free trial too.

also try this guys tips may work aswell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpR4_SZjyzU

unfortunately for me none of these worked for me and I spoke to technical department where I bought it from basically told me it was a right off and as it was under guarantee still replaced it with a new laptop

to be honest I think its a issue with windows 8 as I have since found out that many brands have had it and was around august 2013 I had the problem Accor on my old laptop that was replaced

It's not a manufacturer problem. I'm using ASUS and I'm encountering the same problems.

I've got a Sony Vaio and this has been driving me nuts for weeks. Laptop's about eight months old and kernel issue has been cropping up for about half that time. My laptop went into meltdown today, completely ground to a halt, win8 vanished on my profile, no way of accessing documents etc. Got a factory reset done, now setting up again and... yep... there's the kernel data issue to shut me down again.

It happened when I logged on to facebook - may be wrong but I think that's a flashpoint for this issue.

I've lost faith entirely in my laptop and win8. Am gutted to have spent good cash on a laptop that I can't rely on.

I have had this same problem with my laptop Win 8.  After several months and a new HD, I finally installed AVG 2014 with PC tuneup (Free trial).  I haven't had issues since and it's been 3 months.  Probably jinxed myself.  So try it and see if it helps.
