Cannot install Cute PDF writer. Error – “Unable to execute file to the temporary directory. Setup aborted. Error 5: Access is denied”

Original Title - Cute pdf writer on Windows 7 Professional

Unable to install cute pdf writer on Windows 7 Professional.  I get an error message "Unable to execute file to the temporary directory. Setup aborted.  Error 5: Access is denied."  How can I install?

1. Are you logged in as an administrator while installing the writer?
2. Do you get the error message check only with this particular application or with other applications as well?
3. Which version of the application are you trying to install? Are you installing the 64-bit version?


I would suggest you to login as an administrator or you may right click and select the option ‘run as administrator’ in the standard user account then check if you can install the writer properly.
