The drive did not respond in a fixed time to the access attempt 1100:012A, 1100:022A, 1100:032A, 1100:042A

My CD/DVD drive stopped working.  When I attempt to reinstall the driver, it fails.  On the drive properties, I see "Drive cannot start code 10".  I have replaced the drive, and the SATA data cable, and still have exactly the same problem.  I have run the PSA test and it revealed the error code listed int he title of this message.

1. What is the make and model of the CD\DVD drive?
2. How long have you been facing this issue?
3. Are you able to see the CD\DVD drive icon in windows explorer?
4. What exactly happens when try to use any CD\DVD disc?

Method 1: Try running Automated Troubleshooting Services and check what it has to say. To run Automated Troubleshooting Services visit the below link click on Run now button.

Method 2: Uninstall CD\DVD drive’s driver and restart the computer.
a. Open Device manager
b. Expand DVD/CD ROM drives, right click the CD\DVD device and selectUninstall.
c. Restart the computer. This should install the proper drivers for it.
