Windows 10 and PGP

The Windows 10 reservation FAQ says that PGP Home must be removed before installation.  The burning

issue is:  Are we going to be able to put PGP back?  If not, we'll forget Windows 10.

Answer

I was using PGP on WIn 7 and so was told it had to be removed before I could upgrade to WIn 10.

Having upgraded to WIn 10 (Pro 64 bit) I thought I would try and reinstall PGP  (10.1.1 64 Bit) and I am pleased to say it installed just fine.

I should point out - I use only very limited features of the product, I pretty much only use it to build self decrypting archives, and it seems to be doing that just fine.

Anyway - may be worth trying it, it may work for you as well.

Hope this helps

Good luck :)

Same experience as Justin-Win7. Just upgraded 2 computers from Windows 7 (64-bit Pro) to Windows 10 (64-bit Pro) on which I'd been using PGP Desktop 10.1.1 (Build 10) primarily to encrypt/decrypt virtual disks on local HDDs and various external drives (e.g., thumb drives, external HDDs). I uninstalled PGP before upgrading and then reinstalled it after upgrading. The program re-installed with no problems, and I've been using it without any problems since.
