Hello Akash,

The 0x8007001F error normally occurs when the device has stopped responding or when a general failure has occurred. Mostly, it arises due to a faulty audio driver or a compatibility issue between Windows 10 and your computer’s hardware. Here are the things that you can try to resolve the issue:

That probably means we don't have the symbols for that version yet.  However, if you would like to try something related.  I noticed (thought I noticed) that turning on verbose mode logging might have changed this symptom.

No, its not on the Insider build. In fact, I registered for the Windows Insider program but soon de-registered. I never even installed any insider build or version.

My current version of Windows is 1607 with OS Build 14393.1066 .

Thank You

Just to clarify, have you attempted to update your Windows 10 to the Creators update through Windows Updates? If so, are you also experiencing the same error code and error message? If you haven't tried updating your Windows 10 through Windows Updates, kindly check if you can update to the Creators Update.

We'll be waiting for your response.

I have tried to update windows 10 and have failed with each post and suggestion.

The Windows Update Troubleshooter does nothing in my case.

I have verified all drivers are updated.

I am running no virus protection.

I have scanned for viruses.

Trojans.

To no avail.

An operating system that cannot be updated is just a security hazard.

I purchased a functioning operating system.

Microsoft disabled my operating system through negligence.

Microsoft failed to do their due diligence making sure what they were realeasing would function and sucessfully update systems.

Every post on the internet with people upset about trying to update their operating systems is proof.

The Windows Update Troubleshooter does nothing in my case.

It looks impressive offering a glimmer of hope just to snatch victory away when the update fails.

Uninstall audio drivers. check & FAIL.

Verifiy all drivers are up to date and functioning. chack & FAIL.

Perform a clean boot in windows. check & FAIL.

1 Post referanced xbox1 issue. Needless to say I **** the unit down in settings then unplugged the unit and boxed it up for safety. check & FAIL.

Needless to say when Microsoft decides to address this world wide FAIL I may recieve an update. Until then I will be at risk like the rest of the world.

I will do my browsing and work on my android tablet and phone.

If a fix is not recieved soon I will be shutting my internet connection down.

Why have it if I cannot safely access the internet on my pc.

I started my experiance in the pc market wth DOS. All operating systems right upto Windows 10. I Stuck through all the glitches and bugs. I would have thought by now all this nonsense would have been behind us.

I guess 2017 is a fail also along with windows 2010.

A Disgusted User.

Well said. I too have this issue on one of my systems. It was working perfectly until Microsoft remotely tampered with it, and now spends so much time and bandwidth retrying and failing with the same 0x8007001f error every time I try to use the PC. I've tried all the suggestions, including trying to do an update via the Media Creation Tool, and none get past this stupid error. There is acres of space.

No wonder PCs are dying a death in favour of tablets - they are so much less likely to annoy you in this way.
