Surface Book not Sleeping Properly: gets hot and battery drains

I just got my I7/512GB/16GB dGPU Surface Book. I spent all day setting it up and all is well except it doesn't seem to actually sleep. After work I closed the lid, threw it in my bag and headed home. When I got home I took it back out and it was warm to the touch and the battery was about 15% less (25 minute car ride). Throughout the night I have tested variois settings but nothing seems to put it to sleep. On my Yoga 2 Pro I can shut the lid and it is good for a week easy. Could just be a setting I am  missing but my Surface 3 doesn't have this kind of problem either (different beast all together but still). Anyone else having issues like this?
