OneDrive error for the same user on all machines

A domain user in our office is receiving the same error on her OneDrive regardless of which machine she logs into.

The error code is 0x8004de40 and claims to be a connection problem with the server but it only happens to this user and even on machines that work for other users.

I've tried resetting OneDrive, uninstalling and reinstalling, performed all Windows Updates, remove and replace her MS account, even removed and replaced the office 365 license.

It took them a few days but Microsoft Support was able to correct the problem.

I've pasted the procedure below:

Navigate to your SharePoint Admin center.



Under User profiles, click on Manage User Permission (see image below)

 


On the user permission page click on the book icon to search for the user that gets the error (see image below)

 


Search for the user in the find search box and click on the Add button below before clicking on OK (see image below)

 


Now you get the option to either choose permission for everyone except external user and the particular user you are trying to remove permission. By default it will point to the user; now check all option to create personal site (see image below)
