ON my MAC desktop - the authentication period has expired - please sign in again

I have this error even after i created a new account and after deleting files from the key chain. My one note version is today's version 26th August 2018 downloaded from the apple app store. My OS on my MAC is the latest version 10.13.6

I have uninstalled one note and reinstalled it - no change

I have deleted key chain files - no change

I have created a new MS account and logged in with that one - same message - no change

I want to synch my one note so any advice is appreciated

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Sorry for the inconvenience. To investigate the issue, I'd like to first confirm the following things:

1. Where are your notebooks stored, in consumer OneDrive (https://onedirve.live.com) or OneDrive for Business (https://domain-my.sharepoint.com/personal/xxx)?

2. By "creating new account", do you mean create a new Microsoft account and then sign into the OneNote app? If yes, I suggest you create a new Mac account, log into Mac with this account, open OneNote to test with your problematic account.

3. Click OneNote on the top bar>About OneNote>let us know the version of it.

Hi Kevin,

You may create a new Mac account as mentioned in my last post. Let's check if the issue is related to a corrupted Mac user profile.

Tim

Hi Kevin,

If OneNote works properly with the new Mac account, it means the former Mac account profile is corrupted. We would suggest you use the new Mac account in your daily work. If you choose to investigate with the corrupted account, as it's more related to Mac OS, you may need to contact Apple support for further investigation with that account.

Thanks for your understanding.
