With my old DVD disc drive It wouldn't eject sometimes and I'd have to press it alot and it'd finally eject. One day it just failed and would read a disc or eject what so ever. So, I messed around with it trying to see what the problem was. The motor was burned out in it, that's understandable I've had it since '07. So I purchase a new one, exact same model and brand, from a legit site, it's all packaged up and it looked all legit and not some cheap piece of trash some kid stole.
I flashed the old DVD drive woth the new one (swapping the circuit boards because it would not read correctly if you did not do this) and soldered the wires CORRECTLY in the right order and connected it all back in the same order. I AM 100% SURE! When I connect it with all the wires connected to the drive correctly, start up it tells me on the dashboard to 'Open Tray' I click it and it says 'Opening' and thats all it says, same as the last one I had, and when I click it again it says 'Closing' and thats all it says.
NOTES:
-I did not Mod, nor tampered with the system.
-It is 100% legal to Xbox's terms to replace it.
-The DVD drive is the exact same brand and model.
-I AM 100% SURE IT IS CONNECTED AND SOLDERED CORRECTLY.
-The button that you press to press the other button to eject is not sticky and I tested it.
-I've tried to make it eject with and without the disc and HDD.
-I do not have the latest update and recieve Status Code: 3151-335A-1380-0700-C000-000E
-C000-000E does not mean it is tampered with, It means some device is not fully connected... Which it gave to my new and old DVD drives.
-I plan to call Microsoft in the morning.
