My Gears Of War 3 rank levels and stats getting reseted

Hello and thank you for taking time to read this okay far as i know last night of January 25 i was playing capture the leader quick match and i was just finishing leveling up to re up 2 36 or 37 and then i backed out and signed off of live and when i try to get back on to play multi player the next day today January 26 my level at the main menu said one re up none but war journal said 11 no reup none still i was confused so i tried to play another quick match then when i was waiting for an open slot random achievements started popping up then they stopped then when i played for a minute then backed out then the main menu said 11 re up none matching the war journal and also none of my achievement went away but all my ribbons and medals and stats and characters gone but on my medal attached to me was still the original one i put to it private security but i couldn't click on it in the journal and missing but on my name and i have a forum about this and it said of bad conduct on xbox live or unsteady connection to xbox live as of WIFI and wondering if any of these can be causes of my problem and if there was anything to resolve the dilemma or compensate or for this unfortunate misshapen, very much obliged.

Search the internet or these forums next time before you post.  In the time it took you to type all of that, you could have quickly learned that thousands (if not, hundreds of thousands) of other Gears 3 players have the same issues you do and the literature/complaints about rank reset are littered all over the place.

To address your concerns briefly:

.

- If you did not back up your player data file to the cloud or an external hard drive (like a USB flash drive) all of your data is lost for good.

.

- This problem usually happens when you "dashboard" or reboot the Xbox when the game freezes, however there are other circumstances where a rank reset can happen as well (like in the situation that you just described).  The result is that your player data file gets corrupted and you get reset back to level 1.

.

- Epic knows about it.  Microsoft knows about it.  Neither of them will do anything to get your data back.  This is a fact.

Feel free to add to the mountain of complaints, but just remember that nothing you do short of having your data backed up will get your rank back.  Your choices now are to either continue playing Gears 3 from "scratch" or move on.  If it makes you feel any better, you are not alone.

I give it maybe a day until it gets closed,just like 3,going to blame it on the players and sweep it under the rug,delete the threads and ban anyone mentioning it and ignore it.So dam glad I passed and still play the other three so,win win.

I just finished filing an accurate, elaborate, intelligent, and justified complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Epic Games. If anybody is curious as to what was written, just ask, and I will PM the complaint.

In response to the problem occurring in Judgment, I ultimately pity the consumers. They pay $60 for a game that they believe possesses countermeasures against unavoidable accidents, like console freezes. Console freezes have the potential of happening to everyone and we also know that console freezes cause resets. This means that everyone is constantly at risk of being reset because Epic Games has not produced an official method that attempts to safeguard hard-earned player data, which people accumulate over the course of their paid-for experience.

I, honestly, cannot wait for Epic's laughable response. It ought to be quite entertaining.

This has just happened to me on Judgement and I am gutted.  I have spent money on the game, VIP pass, double XP and skins, not to mention the hours and hours of game play that I have put in!  Is there an email address at EPIC that I can complain to? or who can I raise this complaint with as I feel that I should be compensated in some form?

You could complain on the official Epic forums, but you will be permanently banned there for exposing a major issue within the game. You won't get any help from MS, here, as it is not Microsoft's problem (it really isn't). The only action that you can take, as far as I know, is to file a complaint against EGI through the BBB for not officially employing a method that attempts to retrieve hard-earned player data in the case of accidental data corruption. I did this, and Epic still has not addressed my complaint that was filed well over two weeks ago. Such cowardice is indicative of fault. You're not alone. It's going to continue to happen to loads of other innocent players. I sincerely hope that another Gears game is not developed for the next Xbox. We know, now, that a serious problem from previous games somehow seems to exist without any official acknowledgement and solution. Such disappointment is emblematic of a careless developer. We don't want careless developers producing games for our next-generation console.
