Kingdoms of Amalur Games on Demand: Fix or refund.

Allow me to preface this by stating that I purchased the disc for this game a while back and absolutely love the title, it's a shame that the development studio was liquidated so quickly after it's release.

Pleasantry aside: I am thoroughly upset with my experience with Xbox Live's Games on Demand version of this title and as such am wondering if this is grounds for reimbursement, or if there's a fix in the works; the reason I ask this is because when I downloaded the digital version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning I cannot play at all. The main title works just fine; however if I even attempt to start a new game or load up a previous save, the game begins loading for about seven seconds and then (without fail) the entire console freezes up and I have to shut the system down if I don't want it to sit on the unresponsive loading screen for hours on end. I am not a happy camper at present considering that I just paid $40 for the convenience of not having to use the disc and what I received was useless drivel.

Now, before anyone responds with "did you try fixing it?" Yes, I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps including: removal of ALL downloadable content as well as the downloaded title itself and wiping the system cache then restarting the console and reinstalling only the core game.

If anyone else has had this issue with this game and has a solid fix for me, I'm willing to try it, at this point I just want the game to function or a refund for defunct product.

Some users have had similar issues with other content.  The fix is usually to delete your game, and download a demo that is the same size as the game, before you download the game you are trying to play.  The reason is because you may have a corrupt part of your hard drive.  If so then the xbox will put the demo on that part of the drive, then when you download your game, the xbox should put it somewhere else on the drive.

I'm currently having the same problem that Nihilist Zealot was having in February, did this suggestion work?

If you've downloaded the Online Pass, delete it. Remove the DLC from the HDD. I had the same problem. Doing this fixed it.

That solved it.  Thanks xTye.  The problem seems to lie with the Online Pass DLC.  Once I removed it, things worked swimmingly again.
