How's the lag on this game?

I gotta admit, it ain't great. It's just about as bad as MW2 was imo. It seems to have gotten worse with every new game. I've been dealing with lag since CoD2 so I'm used to it. You might not find it acceptable

The lag is the worse I've ever endured infact I'm returning this game cause of it and I only got it yesterday.

I've endured worse, but I can't really argue.

Don't bother with the lag.

Just don't buy this game.

I had some problems on nuketown 24/7, but normally its decent.

    I might leave a game once every 10 or 15 because of it, but for the most part its always playable.

Whoever said it was as bad as mw2 is wrong. Mw2 was way better, I thought. The host migration was better, too. It seems like way more people dashboard in this game than mw2. I bought black ops when it came out, put about 8 hours of playtime on it and I couldn't stand the lag at all. I didn't play regularly until months after. It seems a lot better but I have 2 friends who have awesome connections (school net) so I rarely lag. If I'm not playing with them, I usually pull host 8/10 times and I have a good connection so it moves smooth for me. So yeah. No problem (for me, at least).

Retitle your thread to * How good is MY connection"  

Then you may have some win.

I don't really care about the host migration issues. I'm just happy they at least have it. Doesn't anyone remember the CoD4 days when the game would just end abruptly because the douche bag hosts would dashboard when things weren't going their way? I remember it happening A LOT. Host migration might not be perfect, but at least the devs implemented it and are trying to get it right.

It just seems like it takes a million times longer to migrate to a host than on mw2. Someone will get migrated out and it takes 30 seconds, then the person the migrated to gets migrated out instantly after it loads back up, then again.... Then it starts. It's ridiculous on this game.

I'm just seeing if I can actually paragraph on chrome now but random: the giving a loss to everyone because someone dashboards is kind of stupid. I realize they get punished now versus before when nothing counted for whoever dashboarded- now they get a lost but it gives everyone a loss. They should just give the person who dashboards like 100 losses or make it a time limit to where they can come back and play.

I've had more successful host migrations than fails it seems. I've noticed that people still quit a lot, but the system still seems to work more often than not imo. Sometimes it takes a few for it to find a new host and sometimes it doesn't take long at all. I've also noticed that the long migrations happen when several people back out one after the other. To me it didn't seem any different then it was with MW2. I think they're equally pathetic. It ain't great, but at least they have it so I can't complain too much.
