I got xbox live about 4 months ago, Without me knowing microsoft has been taking money out of my account to renew this 1 month sub, as i dont have a phone i cant ring microsoft and dont have the time to go to a phone box and call them so i got told to buy a pre paid card from the shop. So I went ahead and bought a 1 year membership and on the same date of every month microsoft are STILL!!! taking out money for 1 month memberships even though i have a years membership. I cant remove my card details online and auto renewal is now turned off. PLEASE help me get rid of this annoying problem guys. is their anyway to remove my card details without a phone or travling MILES AND MILES to get to a bank. please help me :(

When you purchase Live through the Xbox you're told that auto renewal will be turned on. You may want to check your email preferences, because I believe they do email you when they renew your subscription.
I'm sorry, but the only way to turn it off is by calling support.

thanks for the quick reply, I used to get an email when Microsoft renewed my Xbox live membership but I have not had one since I used my years redeem code. I got my bank statement through the door today telling me
MICROSOFT *XBOX
0800 587 1102
Have taken 5.99 on the 16th May, from my debit card
Why? I used my redeem code on 12/05/2011

The billing date and renewal date are not always the same day. You can use billing.microsoft.com to check the dates.
