Hello sorry for necropost. I'm having issues installing drivers for the xbox one controller for win 7 pro 64bit. I triyed EVERY fix I could find on the internet (including the one here) and nothing works. Automatic driver install failed, so I triyed install manually from microsoft website. x86 driver doesn't work, and x64 driver says installation success but nope, the controller doesn't work. I see it in ''devices and printers'' simply as ''controller'' and in ''device manager'' there's an issue with it, there's no driver installed... right after i installed the driver... right. I do have installed those two updates:
Update for User-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2685813)
Update for Kernel-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2685811) But it changes nothing.
I have run windows updater and installed ALL available updates. There's just no drivers for it and windows can't find any. Some forums suggested that i run the driver installation as admin, but can't cuz there is no ''run as administrator'' option when i right-click the download. Other forum suggested I revert to a previous driver version(6.2). Not possible, as I don't have ANY controller drivers installed. Other forum suggested I choose myself the driver to install. I could install Xbox 360 controller drivers that way, but it doesn't make the xbox one controller work at all. Other forum suggested I uninstall those 2 updates I mentionned, still didn't work. The only suggested fix I didn't try was to deactivate signatures in windows registry or something.. I didn't feel comfortable with that one.
I'm running out of options here. My 2 remaining options are: You guys help me or I get my money back.
Thank you
