XBox Live Status and Network Tests Not Accurate?

I've not been able to log onto my account from my Xbox One from Dec 24th 11:30 pm to Dec 25th 12:45 am EST.  Yet, XBox live status shows no issues.  I'm also unable to play CoD Ghost because of the same problem.  Their status is Defcon 4 and says issues would be brief.  I do not consider over an hour and counting brief.  Why a disconnect between what I'm experiencing and the status pages?  I've had issues connecting before but the status is always reported as Ok.  This is frustrating.  On top of that, the multiplayer network test on the XBox One comes back as a success but I can't even get on XBox Live.  What gives?  What's the point of tests and status updates if they don't seem to work???

There was a service alert for matchmaking when I signed in and ran a network test.

I'm in Texas and its 145pm and I'm still getting, "... the following service is experiencing issues: -Xbox Live Core Services"

Very annoying. My internet is @ 100% but cant login -- SMFH

Y'all need to research Xbox Live was getting DDoS'd. So yeah until Lizard squad stops or gets stopped there will be issues.

Well almost New Years here in Oz, still can't connect to any online gaming. Even after getting the free trial for live gold.
