Xbox cant connect to the internet

MY Xbox 360 wont conect to the internet , it connects to the network but thats it. I use to play online with the free membership but when that expired I didnt try going online for a while. My xboxs Error Status Report Says W:0000 - 000B         X:0000 - F009           Y:0000 - 0000            Z:0000 - 0000 and the ID:FFFF - FFFF

What Country/State/Province do you live in?             I stay in South Africa/ Western Cape

Modem/Router brand & model number:   NETGEAR TELKOM ADSL  

Network Connection Type:            Wired

Is UPnP Enabled?             no

Is NAT Type Open?           Dont Know what that is

What type of internet do you have? Cable?

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?                Telkom

When you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" what is the exact message shown on screen?          There's a problem with your connection. Select More Info for a description of the problem and how you can fix it.

Was your console purchased in South Africa, and was your profile created there, too? Also, have you tried power-cylcing your modem, by unplugging power to it for 30 seconds?

Yes I bought my xbox here nd my profile was created here as well, nd yes i have tried unplugging my modem.

Are you connecting to your network via a router? If so, disconnect your console from it and plug the console directly into the modem. You will need to power down the modem then connect the console, then turn on the modem and wait a minute for it to boot up, then turn on the console. If it connects to XBL then the issue is with your router and/or its settings.

Did you purchase the console USED or brand new? If used then it is possible the previous owner got it permanently banned from XBL. If that is the case then you need to take the console back to the seller and request a refund or exchange (if bought from a local shop).

I bought brand new from a local store in my town, even played xbox live for a month with the free gold membership, nd im not banned coz my friend nd i system link at his house nd i can go live through his internet we have the same modem/router, i have a NETGEAR TELKOM ADSL it is a router nd modem in one

i read some where on the internet of a guy that had the same prob as me he said he fixed it by opening closed ports...?

Are you trying to go online in a game using this account (Superman959)? If so then there is your problem. FREE accounts can access the XBL Marketplace but they can not access the online portion of any game. For that you would need a GOLD account.

no i cant get online in general i cant even get to the XBL Marketplace, i bought a 3 month gold membership in da shop but cant get online to activate it, when i try testing the conection it goes to network  but thats it it cant conect to the internet
