Xbox 360 controller crashes pc after Windows 10

After updating to Windows 10 and updating all my drivers I've found that I can use my wired Xbox 360 controller for 2 to 10 minutes before my mouse, keyboard and controller crash and I have to hard restart my computer. I have tested the usb and it runs all other devices fine. It's just the 360 controller and it's only if I use it. It can be plugged in and everything is fine until I play a game that needs a gamepad. The same controller worked fine when I was running win 7 and I haven't been able to find anyone with a similar problem. How do I fix this?

I have been experiencing a similar issue, only our 360 controller is causing the Windows 10 PC to BSOD. I was nervous for awhile that it was a hardware issue, but we took our PC to a specialist/repair shop that did identify the controller/drivers as the source of the crashing. We have been unable to find a workaround as of yet.

I will be eagerly looking forward to hearing if anyone has come across a solution to this problem.  You aren't alone, cadaverouspawn!
