Hello -
Today my Xbox 360 started showing vertical green lines while playing games. To begin with it only affected the actual 3D, rendered portion of the game (i.e. the menus and other portions of the game were unaffected). I went to switch discs (as I was playing Fallout NV, assuming it was a bug) and noticed it happening on my avatar on the dashboard screen (but not affecting anything else).
I tried a different game and then it started affecting everything - 'Signed in' notifications and even the game's loading screen.
I bought my Xbox in the spring of 2008. In the last few months it sometimes has problems recognizing discs when first turning it on - I have to sometimes open and close the tray several times before it registers and is able to read a disc. Are these issues related?
I am using an HDMI cable and hooked up to a Samsung 1080p 40" TV. What are my options, if any?
