My problem is that, when i turn on my xbox, it disconnects on its own after 5 minutes, and it happens every time i turn on my xbox. I also can't join any parties or game sessions. On mw2 it just keeps searching for game sessions, but never finds anything, on black ops it says "black ops servers are unavailable at this time, please try later" But i can see my friends play those games. And its like this for about 2 weeks now, i have no idea what is happening, when i ran the "Test XBOX live connection" it said it was OK, and everything should be working, my nat type is open, but i just cant join parties, and i keep disconnecting everytime i turn on my xbox, when i am offline, i can connect again, but after 5 minutes i get disconnected again. Its XBOX slim, about 3-4 months old. Help, thanks.

You should check your NAT.
Go to the My Xbox channel then over to the System icon, then look under Network Settings.
Run the "xbox live connection test" and pay particular attention to your NAT result.
You want it to be OPEN, not MODERATE or STRICT. If it is OPEN, nothing will show up when you run the test, if it is not OPEN it will show that it is moderate or strict.
If it is not OPEN, then you need to adjust settings on your router to get it open.
Try to enable UPnp (Universal Plug and Play) on your router, as a first step.

Hi
The js-2005ep is just an Ethernet switch not an actual router, so it must be linked up to their modem/router. You say your NAT is Open when you run the Xbox live test, but what about in matchmaking in COD? It shows your NAT status there also, what does that show up as?
Can you also go here:-
and here:-
And run the tests, when the test are completed you will get the option to copy a forum link of the results, please do that and post back your result link.
- If you leave the Xbox on marketplace does it also disconnect after 5mins?
- Is it always exactly 5mins?
- Does it do it in all games or just call of duty?
