Does XBOX ONE purchased in US work in Europe w/o limitations?

Hello, I live in Finland and am planning to purchase a XBOX ONE console from either UK or US as present to my son. Is there any regional limitation to XBOX ONE console or games? I.e. will a XBOX purchased in US work in Finland? I understand the difference in power and power plugs. However I would like to know if there is any limitation to games, etc.? I believe that in previous generatíons there was difference arising from things like PAL or NTCS systems etc. Thx for any feedback on this!

Yes, you will be able to use it anywhere. You just change the language and locale in the settings.

The xbox one console as well as the games made for xbox one are region free. www.oxm.co.uk/.../xbox-one-games-arent-region-locked-microsoft-confirms-so-why-wait-till-2014

Hey there Inks!

While Maximum and 24 are both correct, keep in mind that Finland is not an Xbox One-Supported Xbox Live Country, so your son could run into issues connecting to Xbox Live, downloading updates, purchasing/downloading content, as well as setting up any repairs.

The console itself is region free, but we always suggest using it in an Xbox One-Supported Xbox Live Country.

Also to play this all you must do is switch he power brick correct? I don't need any loud noisy transformer do I?

If you are playing in a different region than where you purchased your console, you will most likely want to purchase a new Power Supply as the voltages vary from country to country and using a PSU not rated for your country can cause serious problems. You can find more information in this article About the Xbox One Power Supply.

You can get in contact with your local Phone Support team to inquire about purchasing a power supply unit. That would be the only hardware you need when setting up in your new locale.

I can confirm it. US is 100-127V while EU is 200-240V. Both are 12A * 17.9V = 215W.

Microsoft will release Power Brick as an accessories next year (planned).

Xbox One games are all region free, you can buy one from local stores.

Hi, i really need to know is Finland an xbox one supported country and could I just order one from the US and play it normally here in Finland?

A lot of mixed and old information from last year that I`ve seen.

does anyone know if its the same for Ireland, im going home soon and want to buy an xbox one in the US because it saves me a decent bit of money. im just wondering if the games i buy in Ireland will work on a US Xbox one? As i've heard there was trouble with the previous xbox 360.
