Init failed: Error 117.__Partition's drive letter cannot be identified__

I recently installed Partition Magic.  When I first tried to use it, I got the message:

Init failed: Error 117.
Partition's drive letter cannot be identified

I also got the following information:

Disk error(s) were detected on this drive. See the 'Errors:' list for more details.

Disk geometry error(s) were detected on this drive.

Error#105: Partition didn't begin on head boundary.
ucBeginHead expected to be 0 or 1, not 25.
Error#106: Partition didn't begin on head boundary.
ucBeginHead expected to be 1, not 21.

Finally, I noticed that I apparently have 110 GB, but the drive is supposed to have 320.
Other than that the drive seems to work with any other application that I have.

Hi, JuilfsJ

According to the category you selected, I assume your Operating System is Windows XP. But is it 32 bit or 64 bit? If it is 32 bit, why not abandon Partition Magic? There are many other excellent and reliable third-party partition manager, with which you hardly encounter error messages. For example, Aomei Partition Assistant. The good news is Aomei Partition Assistant Home Edition is a FREEWARE. It is compatible with Windows 7/Vista/XP 32 bit.
