I was checking settings on Windows 7 and found that User Account Control was OFF (Control Panel/System and Security/Review Your Computer's Status/Action Center/Security). I tried to reset it to the Default setting: “Notify me only when programs try to
make changes to my computer.” When I move the slider to this setting or to “Always notify me,” I click on OK. Immediately I am taken back to the previous page and the indicator still says the User Account Control is set at “Never notify me.” I get a message
that I need to restart the computer to make the change effective, but it never works.
Can someone help me?
